Mondays, 6-8pm! Beginning Jan 9, we will begin exploring how to get out of your own way through experiential and expressive arts techniques including IFS, Psychodrama, and Yoga.
Psychodrama is an experiential form of therapy that allows for corrective and reparative experiences followed by dynamic improvement through expression and rehearsal. In plain terms, we can revisit the traumatic moments in your life, or the moments you wished had happened to heal the trauma and correct your narrative. Playing pretend is not only for kids, it is a powerful way to understand the world around you, and to practice being the person you want to be.
An Internal Family System (IFS) approach works on reducing internal conflict that can keep you feeling stuck instead of moving forward towards your goals. Many of us have had the experience of feeling that a part of us wanted to do one thing, but another part of ourselves is concerned that what we want will lead to disappointment or might even feel threatening at a certain level. We'll use IFS to explore the parts of us that are preventing us from connection.
Workshops for Artists
Using my experience as a professional performer and my psychology knowledge, I have developed Wellness Workshops specifically for artists, some of which are listed below. I would also be happy to develop a workshop specifically meeting the interests/needs of your school/company.
